Behind every successful community event are people and organizations that believe in the mission.

Today, we’d like to recognize and thank our Title Sponsor, Colorado Housing & Finance Authority, for supporting the 2nd Annual All-in for Veterans Casino Night Fundraiser.

We’re especially grateful to Community Relationship Manager Kaylee A. Romero for her partnership, encouragement, and commitment to helping strengthen veteran community throughout Colorado.

Support from organizations like CHFA helps The Foxhole Project continue creating spaces where veterans and their families reconnect through Campfire Social, outdoor experiences, volunteer projects, and shared community.

If you’re planning to attend Casino Night, you’ll be supporting a mission made possible through partnerships like these.

One of the best things about military life wasn’t the schedule or the routine.

It was knowing there were always people beside you.

Life after service looks different, but that need for connection doesn’t disappear.

That’s why The Foxhole Project exists.

We’re building a community where veterans and their families can gather around a campfire, volunteer together, explore the outdoors, or simply enjoy a meal and good conversation.

Community isn’t built overnight. It’s built one handshake, one shared story, and one gathering at a time.

Whether you’ve been with us since the beginning or are just discovering The Foxhole Project, we’re glad you’re here.

Because no one should have to navigate life after service alone when a strong community can make all the difference.

Today, America marks 250 years since the signing of the Declaration of Independence.

For The Foxhole Project, July 4th is more than fireworks and cookouts. It is a reminder that this country has always been carried forward by people willing to stand for something bigger than themselves.

Service members, veterans, families, neighbors, and communities have all played a part in that story. Freedom is not just defended overseas or written into history books. It is lived out in the way we show up for one another here at home.

That is the heart of the foxhole mindset.

We believe veterans should always have a place to reconnect, share stories, sit around a fire, and stand shoulder to shoulder with people who understand the weight and pride of service.

As we celebrate 250 years of America, we are grateful for every veteran, every family member, and every community supporter who continues to build something worth passing on.

Happy Independence Day from The Foxhole Project.

Tag a veteran or family member you are grateful for today.

Let’s start the weekend with a question.

What’s one piece of gear you’ve owned since your time in service that you still use today?

Maybe it’s a backpack.

A coffee cup.

A pocketknife.

A jacket.

Or maybe something completely unexpected.

Tell us in the comments.

You might be surprised how many people still have the same thing tucked away.

Big shoutout to Lucha’s Tacos Tequila & Taps for continuing to stand with The Foxhole Project as our Campfire Social host and sponsor.

Campfire Social has become one of the places where veterans, families, and community supporters can sit down, share a meal, swap stories, and reconnect without pressure or pretense. Lucha’s has helped make that possible by opening their doors and creating a welcoming space for this community to gather.

Their continued support has now carried them past the Trail Guardian Sponsorship tier, and that matters.

Sponsorship at this level does more than put a name on a flyer. It helps build the kind of steady, local support that keeps veteran community strong. It helps create a dependable place where people can show up, be welcomed, and stay connected month after month.

To the team at Lucha’s Cantina, thank you for believing in this mission and for standing shoulder to shoulder with the veteran community.

Next time you’re in, let them know their support is appreciated.

A strong veteran community doesn’t happen by chance. It takes people who believe in creating places where veterans and families can reconnect through shared experiences, conversation, and time together.

Our Q2 Newsletter is out, and it is a good look at where The Foxhole Project has been, where we are headed, and how this community continues to grow.

This quarter has been about building real connection. Campfire conversations, time outdoors, planning for future gatherings, and continuing to create a place where veterans and families can reconnect through shared experience.

The Foxhole Project was never meant to be just another organization. It is a community built around the idea that veterans should not have to face life after service alone. Sometimes that starts around a fire. Sometimes it starts with a cup of coffee, a trail, a conversation, or a simple invitation to show up.

Inside the Q2 Newsletter, you will find updates from the past few months, upcoming events, ways to get involved, and a look at what is next for Foxhole.

Take a few minutes to read it, share it, and pass it along to a veteran, family member, or community supporter who should know what we are building.

Every event we host starts with the same idea.

Create a welcoming place where veterans and families can spend time together.

Whether it’s Campfire Social, a service project, or an afternoon outdoors, the goal is simple: bring people together through shared experiences.

Over the past several months we’ve watched new friendships form, familiar faces become regulars, and a community continue to grow one gathering at a time.

That’s what The Foxhole Project is about.

If you’ve been thinking about joining us at a future event, we’d love to have you.

Follow the page and keep an eye out for upcoming opportunities to connect.

Summer has a way of bringing people together.

Long evenings around a campfire.
Coffee before the trail.
Stories shared across a picnic table.

Those moments may seem simple, but they’re often the ones we remember most.

At The Foxhole Project, we believe veteran community is built through those everyday experiences. It isn’t about having all the answers. It’s about making space for people to reconnect, laugh together, swap stories, and build friendships that continue long after the day is over.

Whether someone joins us for Campfire Social, volunteers at an event, or simply introduces themselves for the first time, they’re helping strengthen this community.

Community isn’t something we wait for.

It’s something we build together.
