Sri Lanka update. I'm just about halfway through my internship at a state-of-the-art activewear and intimates factory, furthering my plight to specialize in designing for sports and outdoors.
I've met so many hospitable and talented people, eaten delicious food, and visited 8 cutting edge apparel innovation and manufacturing facilities.

I'm working on the design of 2 sports bras starting at the research stage and moving through the process to the point of wear testing and biomechanical validation.

This week I learned about designing high performance lace, bra cup manufacturing, and the fundamentals of sports bra pattern drafting. I finalized my designs and consulted with the technical design and materials team to move forward with the first prototypes.

It has been a great experience. I very much miss my beautiful wife, Llano River Blue, and our little family. I have faith this investment in my learning will pay off in the future. Though the experience, and amount I have learned about knits, has definitely been worth missing a beautiful Portland summer.
