First, thank you to everybody who came out and helped make our first annual Legacy Weekend a success with The Remedy Church Deante Lavender

Yesterday was bigger than a cookout. We brought men of all ages together to laugh, build, encourage one another, and just enjoy being around good people. In a time where there’s so much division, it was powerful to see so many people come together with nothing but love.

The kids got to have new experiences, make memories, and have a great time. Seeing all the smiles, conversations, and families enjoying themselves made all the hard work worth it.

To everyone who came because you’ve watched my show, supported my journey, followed my story, or simply wanted to show love, thank you. Every handshake, every picture, every kind word spoken to me means more than you’ll ever know. I don’t take any of it for granted.

After everything I’ve been through, being able to stand there surrounded by so much love was a blessing in itself.

Akron showed up. The fathers showed up. The families showed up.

This was the first Legacy Weekend, but it definitely won’t be the last.
