This past weekend, active participants and alumni of the Turning Point Program had the opportunity to attend the 91st Founders’ Day Celebration in Akron, Ohio.

This event is much more than a celebration, it is a powerful reminder of the hope, connection, and recovery that are possible through fellowship and community support!

Turning Point participants recently had the opportunity to take part in a powerful Equine Therapy experience at Hope Meadows Foundation.

Set in a supportive, non-judgmental environment, participants engaged with trained equine specialists and gentle horses through guided activities designed to build trust, encourage emotional expression, and strengthen coping skills. Equine therapy helps individuals explore emotional awareness, reduce stress, and develop healthier ways of relating to themselves and others.

We are proud of our participants for showing up with openness and courage, and we are thankful to Hope Meadows for their partnership in supporting recovery and transformation. ❤️🐴

Today, Judge Joy Malek Oldfield and the Turning Point team proudly celebrated seven graduates of the program. Joining us for this special occasion were the arresting officers whose support, encouragement, and partnership help make these success stories possible.

Graduation represents far more than the completion of a program, it reflects personal growth, resilience, accountability, and a commitment to building a healthier future. Each graduate’s achievement is a powerful reminder of what can be accomplished through determination, support, and hard work.

Graduates- Just because you’ve officially graduated, that does not mean you’re getting rid of us! We encourage all graduates to join the Summit County Turning Point Program Alumni Group and continue your journey of recovery.

May is National Treatment Court Month!

Judge Joy Malek Oldfield and the Turning Point team can’t think of a better way to end the month than with our “Wall of Fame” celebration.

Our team works hard every day to strengthen our court and support our participants to the best of our ability. This display is a fun reminder that growth is a lifelong journey and at Turning Point, we see that growth every day.

We did this activity in court today, and it brought plenty of laughs and smiles!

Now for the fun part… can you connect each team member to their baby picture? 👶📸

The Turning Point Team tragically lost our friend, Daryl Withrow. Daryl passed away in a tragic accident, but his impact on the recovery community will never be forgotten.

Daryl dedicated his time, heart, and talents to creating a welcoming and beautiful space for others in recovery. From planting sunflowers to building raised flower beds at the Coffee House, his compassion and generosity touched so many lives.

To honor Daryl’s legacy, we gave each team member and participant sunflower seeds to plant in his memory. May these seeds grow into beautiful reminders of the kindness, light, and hope Daryl shared with everyone around him.

His memory will continue to bloom throughout our recovery community forever. 🌻💛

Tonight, the Turning Point team and Summit County Turning Point Program Alumni Group had the honor of attending ARC Recovery Services Gala & Silent Auction.

We were especially honored to hear from guest speaker Judge Joy Malek Oldfield, whose words highlighted the importance of compassion, accountability, and continued support for individuals and families impacted by addiction.

For more than 29 years, ARC Recovery Services has provided recovery housing and supportive services for individuals struggling with substance use disorders. Through safe, structured environments and compassionate care, ARC empowers individuals with the spiritual, emotional, and mental tools needed to achieve long-term recovery.

This year’s gala and silent auction supported the development of a new recovery home for women and children, a place where healing begins, families are strengthened, and futures are rebuilt.

We are incredibly grateful for organizations like ARC Recovery Services and their unwavering commitment to recovery, restoration, and lasting community impact. Together, recovery is possible.
