Our friends from the Hundred Acre Wood were a little busy helping us at Fostering Faith’s Resource Center this past week.

Foster care is beautiful……And heartbreaking at the same time.

It is staying when trauma shows up as anger, silence, fear, or pushing people away. And staying again tomorrow.

Not giving up because it’s hard.
Not walking away because progress is slow.
Not expecting healing to happen on your timeline.

It’s advocating.
It’s loving.
It’s showing up over and over again.
It’s choosing a child, not just on the easy days, but especially on the hard ones.

Because sometimes healing begins the moment a child realizes: “You really mean it when you say you’re not going anywhere.”

This week, Pooh, Tigger, Eeyore, and friends helped send out clothes, Coloring Sunshine coloring book kits, Squishmallows , and reminders that an entire community is standing behind these children and the families opening their homes.

Because foster care is hard.
But no child and no family should have to walk it alone.

☀️Hi friends, Scribbles here! We’re excited to introduce you to the board behind our organization over the next several days starting with our most familiar face 🩷.

She may only be 9, but she’s putting in the work!

📦 Special delivery! Today we dropped off Coloring Sunshine packs at City Lights Ministry. City lights serves kids in Winston-Salem through mobile food pantry and clothing closet, building beds for kids, and providing several free summer camp and pre-k programs. City Lights can use your help right now! Visit their website to see the amazing ways they are serving! 🖍️☀️

📦 Special delivery to Family Promise of Davie County. This organization supports homeless families with children and helps them get back on their feet to stability. Check out their page to see ways you can support their mission! We were happy to provide a little sunshine to the kids they serve. 🖍️☀️

A huge thank you to Connor, Lila, and our friends at Coloring Sunshine for their generous donation of coloring books and crayons for the families & kiddos we serve! 🎨🖍️

Have kids home for summer or a group of summer campers? Consider making simple postcards for our Coloring Sunshine bags! We love including these when we have supplies! 🖍️☀️

We were so honored to come alongside Serving Our Neighbors (Davie County) today. They are addressing food insecurity in our area through twice weekly, no questions asked, grocery distribution. Who doesn’t love a coloring book and crayons during their grocery shopping?! Thank you to these amazing volunteers for pouring countless hours into meeting the tangible needs of our neighbors every week! ☀️🖍️
