You’re allowed to be tired, overwhelmed, and still be an amazing mama 💛
What’s something you wish more moms felt less guilty about?

In our previous post, we shared about the belief systems about motherhood that most young mothers struggle with.
The belief systevm that stuck with most of our young mothers was that " A mother's body loses value after breastfeeding."
A statement that made me realise that it's something that most women silently believe
But dear mothers, your body was never meant to be valued only by appearance.
A body that carries life… Feeds a child… Sleeps less so another human can grow… Comforts, protects, and nurtures…
…has not lost value. It has shown strength.
Yes, motherhood changes the body. But change is not destruction.
Stretch marks, softer skin, tired eyes, and breastfeeding changes are not signs of weakness , they are signs that your body has done something powerful.
Society has taught many women to measure their worth by beauty standards instead of the love, resilience, and life they carry within them.
Your body is still worthy. You are still beautiful. You are still valuable.
And no mother should ever feel ashamed for nourishing her child. 🤍
Let us speak more gently to young mothers. Let us remind them that motherhood does not reduce a woman’s worth , it reveals her strength.

Behind many silent struggles of young mothers are some harmful belief systems about about motherhood.
We already discussed early child learning which young mothers are not urged to do.
Today we speak about breastfeeding.
Many young mothers stop breastfeeding early , not because they are incapable,but because society often give them pressure instead of support.
This leaves them battling fear of judgement and self doubt in silence.
Some are told;
They are too young to breastfeed properly
• Formula feeding is more “modern”
• Breastfeeding in public is embarrassing
• Their bodies will lose value after breastfeeding
• They cannot chase dreams while raising children.
The truth is, Breastfeeding is not weakness.
Motherhood is not the end of purpose.
And young mothers deserve guidance, dignity, patience, and support , not judgment.
As a community, we must;
• Encourage instead of criticize
• Educate instead of shame
• Support young mothers emotionally and socially
• Create safe spaces for learning and healing.
No young mother should feel alone on her journey.
Let us stand together to uplift, mentor, and empower young mothers in our communities.
If you are a young mother ,a breastfeeding mother , or you know one who needs this, share and stay connected.
We are walking this journey together step by step.

Every Moment is a Learning Moment.
Did you know that a child’s journey to success starts long before they enter a classroom?
As I looked into how we, as mothers, view early childhood development, the results are eye-opening.
While we are doing an amazing job at providing emotional support and love, there’s a big opportunity for us to start "early learning" right at home.
Some of us might have missed this phase, but we can still learn and apply.
Here are 3 simple ways to boost your child’s growth today:
1️⃣ Talk & Explain: Even if they are small, explaining "why" helps them understand the world.
2️⃣ Play with Numbers: You don’t need a classroom to count stones, fruit, or steps
3️⃣ Affection is Strength: Don’t hold back on those hugs. Science shows that a close emotional bond makes children more confident and better at building relationships later in life. 🫂❤️
The home is a child’s first school, and a mother is their first teacher. Let’s empower each other with the right knowledge to help our children thrive!
What are some of the limiting beliefs systems and practices about" early learning " that are most prevalent in your community?

Motherhood does not begin the day one gives birth. It begins long before that , in the mind, in the heart, and in the silent preparation of accepting that one's life will forever be shared with another soul who will completely depend on them from the moment of conception until the day they both leave this world.
To all the incredible mothers in the world, we love you. Thank you for being strong through the highs and lows. You are the super Heroes.

Over the weekend we had a converstion with a few of our young mothers sharing about their fears and doubts. How they spoke was not loud but in a quiet heavy way.
Some of their fears were;
“What if I can’t provide for my child?”
• “What if people never respect me again?”
• “What if I fail as a mother?”
• “What if my life never moves forward?”
• “What if my child suffers because of me?”
Thinking deeply about what they had shared, we shared to them our own experiences with fear and doubt amd that,
Fear is not always truth ,it is often a reaction, not a reality
• Doubt does not define ability it only questions it
• Feeling afraid does not mean you are weak it means you are aware
Im order for a young mom to break free from tjese fears and doubts, we udged them to;
Speak about their fears silence makes them heavier
• Stay around supportive people as isolation feeds doubt
• Learn and grow for knowledge builds confidence
• Take small steps forward because progress reduces fear
• Remind themselves that they are learning, not failing
Lastly we urged them to join our savings and mentorship programme thats coming up, parental education sessions and identity buklding programmes to help them rediscover tjwmselvws and their purpose.
