Many schools across Uganda still face inadequate sanitation facilities. 🚫🚻
Through the WASH program at ACTS Uganda, a girls’ latrine has been constructed at Kaghando Primary School, Bwesumbu Sub-county, Kasese District. 🙏💧
This facility gives girls a safe, private, and dignified space—improving health, confidence, and school attendance. 🏫💙👧🏽

Over 18,000 people now have access to safe and clean water within a distance of 500 meters, significantly reducing the burden of water collection.
As a result of improved water, sanitation, and hygiene interventions, the prevalence of waterborne diseases has decreased from 37% to 17%.
The Kasangali WASH Project has greatly enhanced access to safe water, improved sanitation coverage, and strengthened hygiene practices across Kasese District.
With a total investment of UGX 1,659,510,000, the project demonstrates the power of strong community participation in achieving sustainable and long-term WASH outcomes.
Our staff at ACTS Uganda, together with community members, yesterday carried out pipe-laying activities for the Kaswa Water Project in Kasese under Phase II. This effort is aimed at extending clean and safe water to the targeted villages in Bwesumbu Sub-county Kasese District. Acts for Water

The Acts Uganda team, together with Kabatunda-Kirabaho Town Council and village leaders, successfully conducted Open Defecation Free (ODF) verification at the town council level.
This crucial step prepares villages to meet the required sanitation and hygiene standards ahead of the district inspection scheduled for April.
The exercise demonstrates a strong commitment to improving public health, promoting safe sanitation practices, and ensuring that communities achieve and sustain ODF status.
