So today, I bought a DVI cable for my computer! Went and picked the first one I saw and when I got back home to connect it, it didn't fit!!
Apparently there are multiple variations and I got a DVI-I dual link yet my computer used the DVI-D dual link. Well since I couldn't take the whole journey back, I thought something up and decided to tamper with it! I took the dvi-i dual link and removed the upper pins and left lower ones intact.....it fit in and lo and behold, it worked!
