ASEAN MEMBER STATES CONVENE FOR THE 51ST MEETING OF THE ASEAN WORKING COMMITTEE ON CAPITAL ACCOUNT LIBERALIZATION
The Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas and Bank of the Lao PDR, as Co-Chairs, convened the 51st Meeting of the ASEAN Working Committee on Capital Account Liberalization (WC-CAL) on 11 February 2026 in Panglao, Bohol.
As one of the working committees under the ASEAN Economic Community, the WC-CAL provides a forum for ASEAN Member States (AMS) to discuss and implement measures and priority actions on promoting freer flow of capital among AMS through gradual liberalization of capital account restrictions.
During the meeting, members reviewed the progress and status of WC-CAL’s key initiatives and deliverables.
