What a good father! I got this email from his daughter Valerie: My dad, David Miller , has been a classical music lover all of his life. As a child, I hated it!!! He would play it all the time. He played it in the car, it was piped throughout the house, through ceiling speakers in the kitchen, bathroom, every room. He started his own recording company and would record the Utah Symphony and the Salt Lake Chamber Ensemble on a regular basis. He would record my middle school and high school concerts, when I played clarinet in the band. He now has had to give up everything he loved to do because of his age and degrading health. He doesn’t have long to live and misses his concert attending days so much! He used to hike, camp, go to Astronomy club star parties with us as children, as well as so much more. He is so depressed right now because he lost his dream home and all of his freedom due to his heart and having stage 5 kidney disease. He can no longer go to concerts. I grew up going to symphonies with him, from just around the corner, to driving to the Tetons and camping, so he could attend and now I appreciate the art of the music, only because of him. I listen to it by myself and relive the beauty he brought to my life. He now lives in my sister’s house in Yucaipa, CA., and is very depressed. He needs your talent badly. If you could play some violin sonatas… he would be so very happy. I need something to help him deal with his, end of life depression. Whatever it takes, please help us. I won’t be able to be there, as I am a front line worker and am needed in NC. 20/04/2022
