The first/last mile as as definition, is quite a simple one - public transport doesn’t take us exactly where we need to go and walking is not always the quickest or the most convenient way to move around the city. This first and last portion of mobility where we go between transport systems and final destination are called first & last mile. Developments in micromobility is addressing this problem.
İlk/son mil (ilk tanımı Amerika’da yapıldığı için mil) aslında gündelik hayatımızda her gün karşılaştığımız bir kavram. Toplu taşıma ya da kişisel aracımızla yaptığımız yolculuklarda, kullandığımız ulaşım yöntemi ve ulaşmak istediğimiz hedef arasında hep son bir kısım kalır. Genelde 1-5km’lik bir kısımdır. (Bazen daha uzun) İlk/son mil MaaS içerisindeki bu kısımları tanımlamak için kullanılır. Son zamanlarda sıkça duyduğumuz “micromobility” çözümleri de genelde bu alanı hedef alır.
