جائحة كورونا جابتلنا معاها برشا دروس تعلمتها الانسانية الكل من تجربة الأفراد و الدول في التعامل مع الوضعيات الحرجة. لسوء الحظ، تكلفتلنا خسائر كبيرة باش استخلصنا هالاستنتاجات.
فال caummunauté متع les cyclistes، فما فكرة محورية زادت ترسخت أكثر اللي هي الأهمية الكبيرة لل mode de vie متع البسكلات اللي ندافعو عليه. في الفترة هاذي البسكلات زادت أثبتت روحها كوسيلة التنقل المثالية للمستقبل : ضرر أقل للطبيعة، وسيلة سهلة الاستعمال و مناسبة لللأغلبية، و خاصة حاجة هايلة باش نتحركو في زمن الكورونا.
برشا بلدان خذات إجراءات في اتجاه التشجيع على استعمال البسكلات: بريطانيا مثلا اعلنت على رصد اكثر من 2 مليار دولار لتحسين البنية التحتية بما فيه تخصيص شوارع لركوب الدراجات فقط. في اسبانيا زادا، ممرات البساكل تم التوسيع فيها لضمان التباعد الاجتماعي و في نفس الوقت قاعدين يحدثو في ممرات جديدة.
مع الأسف في تونس مازال ما شفناش إجراءات مالنوع هذا رغم انها توا ولات لازمة أكثر من أي وقت آخر بما أنو الناس أقدمت على استعمال البسكلات أكثر، و déjà مازال كيف سمعنا بسيدة توفات في حادث و هي على بسكلات (الله يرحمها) و من بين اسباب الحادثة غياب الحماية اللازمة لمستعمل الدراجة. احنا باش نواصلو في الدفع نحو خلق بيئة صديقة لمستعملي الدراجات و نطلبو منكم تساندونا و تجو معانا ببساكلكم و إلا ببساكلنا باش تنجمو تواصلو تعيشو حياتكم و تقضو أموركم من غير ما تحطو صحتكم في خطر.

It's a sure thing that this whole Covid-19 pandemic was a teachable moment for all humanity which made us understand important things the hard way. For us, in the cycling community, it has only made us more certain that our cause is of paramount importance. Cycling has, once more, proved itself to be the ideal means of transport for the future: causing far less damage to the planet, being convenient and easy to use, and especially of great help during a time where social distancing is a must.
Several countries have indeed taken measures based on these facts:
The UK: The British government has announced a $2.48 billion package to put cycling and walking "at the heart of " the country's post COVID-19 transportation plan to try and relieve the pressure on public transport. The money will be used to improve cycling and walking infrastructure, including building wider sidewalks and the introduction of cycle-only streets.
Italy: The transport Minister Paola de Micheli has announced a package for its citizens to claim a $548 subsidy on newly bought bikes.
France: An initiative from the energy and transport ministry includes developing temporary bike lanes and up to $21.94 million worth of subsidies towards the cost of repairs.
Spain: Old lanes in the cities are being widened so that cyclists can adhere to the social distancing measures, whilst completely new lanes are also being formed.
In Tunisia, we are still waiting for measures of the kind to facilitate cycling and protect those who do it. It became an urgent necessity, especially since we recently witnessed the passing of a lady cyclist due to the absence of necessary protection in the streets.
We will continue the fight towards establishing a cyclist-friendly environment, and we urge you, dear followers, to support us and join us with your bikes on the roads, or possibly rent some of ours to run your errands and enjoy your freedom without compromising your health.
