The Jewish community of djerba is known as 1 of the oldest in the world, and 1 of the special מנהגים (customs) is that the Cheff rabbi (רבי חיים ביתאן שליט״א)blows the שופר before Shabbat twice, 1st one 10 minutes before to announce everyone to close their shops and 2nd one just before Shabbat to announce that Shabbat entering.
And this costume is mentioned in the Talmud that they used to do the same thing in Jerusalem back then. Come and see it yourself 😍😍

Tunisian kitchen has a lot to offer,😇 it’s known with its delicious and amazing food.❤️
We can start by the most famous food and it’s called BRIK, it’s made of flower filled up with potatoes and harissa (Tunisian spice) some vegetables and of course an egg in the end and finally deep it the oil to fry😉 it’s delicious 🤤
We also have a sweet BRIK and it’s filled up with grounded almonds then fried and then deep it in the honey 🍯 I can’t describe it enough 😅
You must come and try it your self 😉

If we’re talking about djerba, we’re talking about Authentic wedding with special MINHAGIM (customs),
Like making the שבע ברכות (special blessings for wedding) in the house of the חתן (groom)’s parents.
Also we do a special party before the wedding it’s called the night of تجميل (beautifying)
