𝗔 𝗺𝗮𝗷𝗼𝗿 𝗺𝗶𝗹𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗻𝗲 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗰𝗹𝗶𝗺𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝘁𝗿𝗮𝗻𝘀𝗽𝗮𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗰𝘆 𝗶𝗻 𝗔𝗳𝗿𝗶𝗰𝗮!

Ambassador Adao recently addressed participants at the 𝗖𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗿𝗮𝗹𝗶𝘇𝗲𝗱 𝗚𝗿𝗼𝘂𝗽 𝗥𝗲𝘃𝗶𝗲𝘄 and 𝗘𝗧𝗙 𝗥𝗲𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗧𝗼𝗼𝗹𝘀 𝗧𝗿𝗮𝗶𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 held in 𝗞𝗶𝗴𝗮𝗹𝗶, 𝗥𝘄𝗮𝗻𝗱𝗮 (𝗠𝗮𝘆 𝟭𝟭–𝟭𝟲, 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲) — a landmark gathering under the Enhanced Transparency Framework (ETF).

He emphasized that technical reviews go beyond accountability — they are powerful platforms for shared learning, peer exchange, and continuous improvement in national transparency systems that drive effective climate action.

A special commendation went to four LDCs 🇲🇼 Malawi, 🇷🇼 Rwanda, 🇧🇫 Burkina Faso, and 🇳🇪 Niger — for submitting their first Biennial Transparency Reports (BTRs) and participating in the first Regional Centralised Group Review for the LDC group. A proud first for the region!

Heartfelt thanks also to the Government of Rwanda 🇷🇼 for hosting this important session.

Together, we build stronger climate systems — one review at a time.
