The Government Pharmaceutical Organization will sell three million antigen test kits (ATK) that have been approved by the Food and Drug Administration for 35 baht per kit to help the public access the test kits more easily, because of the high demand for self-testing.

The GPO is hoping to find more cases of infections and send patients to have treatment as fast as possible to cope with the widely spreading COVID-19. The ATK will be sold at eight GPO pharmacies in Bangkok from 14 January 2022, while online sales on www.gpoplanet.com will start from 17 January 2022 onward.

The Ministry of Public Health joins hands with the Ministry of Transport to launch the Antigen Test Kit testing for the public, free of charge, to prevent the spread of the COVID-19, for those who travel to their hometown and come back to Bangkok.

The service is available for Thais and foreigners at Mo Chit Station and Hua Lamphong Station from 28 December 2021 to 3 January 2022.

Those who have a positive test will be retested with RT-PCR. Infected people will be transferred to have treatment, according to their healthcare rights, for example, Gold Card, Social Security, and other health insurance.

The public may register by scanning the QR code, doing the risk assessment, and filling in the required information before making an appointment for the test.
