Thinking Out Loud

Most people aren't chasing success. They just want approval. They are more interested in getting likes and applause. But external validation isn't a sustainable motivation. It will eventually kill your momentum and slow down your growth. Shift your mindset from needing approval to setting and meeting your own benchmarks. Start trusting your inner voice. Check your environment. The loudest voices aren't always the wisest. Surround yourself with people who reflect your values.

Leadership is not about standing in the spotlight. It's about sharing the light and guiding others to shine. Genuine leaders focus on enabling their teams to achieve collective dreams, ensuring that each member feels valued and capable.

God, would you set me free from the need to always know what You're doing in my life and enable me to move forward from a place of remembering that You are the son of God who was sent to deliver me. And even if You don't do things on my timeline, I still believe what You said.

Rather than staying in my disappointment, I know this is an opportunity for me to believe something that my eyes can't see. For me to believe something that my mind can't comprehend: that You are God and I am not, and that Your hand is still on my life."

"There is something you keep tripping over in your life: a memory, an addiction, a disappointment, a label someone put over you… It has been a stumbling block to you, but it's about to become a stepping stone.

Can you say this by faith: "I'M OVER IT!"

That's the word. "I'm over it." You have to get it in your heart. "They hurt me, but I'm over it. What they said about me, I'm over it. I don't believe that anymore. What they did to me, I'm over it. In fact, they don't even have to apologize to me. If they don't ever apologize, I'm over it."

Everything that stood against you, Jesus put a cross over it. Everything that was pushing against you trying to get you back into darkness, Jesus put a cross over it. That's why my faith looks forward, because I have a cross over my past, and whatever you've been through, God has delivered you from the power of it. I'm over it!"

This is why comparing yourself to others is dangerous.

When you compare yourself to someone who is better at something than you are, it can cause you to feel unqualified even though God is pleased with your progress.

When you compare yourself to someone who is worse off than you, it can cause you to think you've “arrived” even though God has given you a greater capacity and called you to do more.

Both are corrosive to your soul, because God’s qualification of you is not proven by comparison. It is rooted in calling.
