Although these images resemble infrared photography, they are not. The striking colors arise from the natural winter landscape: trees blanketed in snowflakes set against vivid blue skies. This interplay of light and color produces an effect reminiscent of IR photography. Taken at the Snow Ski Resort atop the mountain of Nozawa Onsen, the compositions required deliberate framing.
