และประเทศฝรั่งเศสเป็นประเทศที่แอนนี่ผูกพันเป็นพิเศษ นอกจากจะเต็มเปี่ยมไปด้วยวัฒนธรรมชั้นสูง ยังเป็นภาษาที่เคยตั้งใจเรียนมาตลอด 4 ปีเต็ม สมัยเรียนเอกฝรั่งเศสที่อักษรด้วยค่ะ 🇫🇷

…จนบางครั้ง แอนนี่ก็รู้สึกว่า ถ้าไม่เคยอยู่ใน corporate world จริงๆ มาก่อน อาจจะจับแก่นของสิ่งที่อาจารย์กำลังสื่อได้ยากมากค่ะ

เป็นประสบการณ์ที่ท้าทายมากจริงๆ เหมือนกลับไปเรียนปริญญาโทอีกครั้งค่ะ

ยิ่งเรียน ยิ่งรู้ว่าเรายังมีอะไรให้พัฒนาอีกมาก และแอนนี่รู้สึกโชคดีมากที่ได้เติบโตในเวทีนี้ค่ะ

หนังสือเล่มนี้เต็มไปด้วยความรู้ที่ลึกซึ้งและแรงบันดาลใจมาก ๆ ค่ะ

🇫🇷 ✈️ Flew to France to serve as a business interpreter for FWD Thailand’s executive programme at INSEAD.

It was a golden opportunity to stand at the very heart of global learning at INSEAD, Fontainebleau.

I had the honour of serving as the interpreter for FWD Thailand’s management team during the FWD Elite Signature Programme Cohort 5 (28 July–2 August 2025), an incredibly challenging yet rewarding experience.

INSEAD is ranked the No.1 business school in Europe and is renowned as The Business School for the World.

Personally, France holds a special place in my heart. It’s not only a land of rich culture, but also the language I devoted four full years to while studying French as my major at the Faculty of Arts, Chulalongkorn University.

So when I was invited to interpret at INSEAD in France… I’ll be honest. I teared up.

A flood of emotions swept over me: excitement, gratitude and deep fulfilment.

📚 I provided both simultaneous and consecutive interpretation (Thai–English / English–Thai) solo for 5 full days, from 08:30 to 17:30 daily.

The programme was equivalent in intensity to an Executive MBA, filled with advanced content in marketing, business planning, strategy and behavioural science.
It included technical terms like Bell Curve, Normal Distribution, Linear Regression, AI, InsurTech, TPA and insights from global academic research.

🎧 Challenges I faced:
• No interpreter partner: I had to manage my own energy and focus throughout the day
• No soundproof booth: I interpreted live from the instructor’s voice at the front of the room
• The headset system amplified all sounds — even the sound of a zipper
So I chose to focus directly on the instructor’s voice (a task that demanded absolute concentration 👀)

This was, by far, the most intense assignment of my interpreting career.
Not only because of the technical content, but also the preparation required to handle it all (intellectually, mentally and emotionally).

🎧 The role demanded more than language skills. It drew on:
• Long-standing experience working across departments in the insurance industry
• Deep understanding of agency distribution and executive-level strategy
• The ability to decode complex business models and deliver them accessibly in a second language
• An AI-augmented skillset to professionally prepare supporting content and visuals
• Strong presentation skills, especially when interpreting consecutively on stage in front of top executives from multiple countries. Every word spoken became more than translation. It was “Thailand’s voice” in a global classroom.
• And, of course, precise, heartfelt and quick decision-making under pressure

Another layer of challenge:
Every professor in the programme held a doctoral degree from a world-class institution.
Many sessions involved academic readings and in-depth case study analysis.

Before flying to France, I thoroughly prepared and summarised key concepts to grasp the full context.
Each evening in Fontainebleau, I reviewed the case studies again to ensure full understanding because the content was that deep and strategic.

At times, I felt that without real experience in the corporate world, it would have been difficult to truly grasp the core of what the professors were conveying.
It felt like going back to graduate school and I truly grew from it.

A book filled with insight and inspiration.
A gift I truly treasure.

• To every role I’ve held in business development: which allowed me to understand the content on a strategic level, not just as an interpreter

This is the mission I carried with all my heart throughout this week, and in every interpreting assignment I’m honoured to be entrusted with.
