We are seeking a Compliance / Legal Consultant (Blockchain & IP) to guide our organization through the evolving regulatory and intellectual property landscape while ensuring our blockchain-powered initiatives are legally sound, ethical, and future-ready.

Key Responsibilities

Advise on regulatory compliance for blockchain-based projects, including NFTs, tokenization, royalties, and smart contracts.
Provide legal insights on intellectual property, licensing, copyright, and publishing rights in a digital and blockchain-integrated environment.
Ensure compliance with crypto regulations, KYC/AML requirements, and data protection laws (GDPR, POPIA, etc.).
Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, including artist agreements, publishing rights, licensing deals, and token-related offerings.
Stay updated on global blockchain, fintech, and IP regulations to mitigate risks and identify opportunities.
Collaborate with product, creative, and technology teams to ensure legal frameworks align with innovative solutions.

Requirements

Law degree and professional qualification in legal practice.
Proven experience in blockchain, fintech, or technology law.
Strong understanding of intellectual property rights in publishing, music, sports, and creative industries.
Knowledge of cryptocurrency regulations, smart contracts, and digital assets law.
Experience with international legal compliance (cross-border licensing, royalties, and token-based economies).
Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate complex legal terms into actionable advice.
Consultancy, in-house, or law firm experience working with creative or tech companies is an advantage.
