His Excellency Kassoum Coulibaly, the Ambassador of Burkina Faso to the United States, has formally presented his credentials to President Donald Trump. This comes at a time when Burkina Faso’s new government, led by Captain Traoré, has rejected any backdoor diplomacy with the U.S. The government is also calling on the U.S. to publicly apologize to both the African continent and the people of Burkina Faso for false claims made by U.S. General Langley, who accused Captain Traoré of misusing Burkina Faso's gold for personal gain.
