You can’t design policies and frameworks that affects a community’s decision/ way of life without including the youth

Yesterday during our meeting with the youth to design the BRI: for climate recovery and improving social cohesion:
we had a fruitful meeting and co-developed the project activities to be implemented within Torit to build ambition and urgency for climate action among community members.
Unfortunately most of the ladies didn’t turn up for the meeting. The members resolved that,we must mombalize the ladies and meet on Monday 16th so that thier voices are included in the activities design.

The heart beats of the nation.

Today I would like to, not merely speak but to remind you all —of the one thing the world often forgets.

”The heart beats of the nation” and these are our farmers.

It’s quiet despicable that the very people who feeds the nation are ignored. Each an everyday the farmers wake-up plant, nurture and feed the nation but their efforts are ignored.

For too long the story of the farmers are stories of struggle but we need to change that. The systems that fails to protect the farmers needs to be changed. The policies which do not uplift our farmers needs to be abolished and new ones developed.
May all the farmers be blessed.
