Happy World Environment Day – 5 June 2026
Today, 5th June, we join the global community in celebrating World Environment Day.
This year’s theme, “Inspired by Nature. For Climate. For Our Future,” reminds us that the most effective and sustainable solutions to the climate crisis are often found in nature itself.
To secure our future, we must embrace nature-based solutions by:
🌱 Restoring degraded lands and ecosystems through large-scale tree planting and environmental conservation.
☀️ Reducing greenhouse gas emissions by transitioning to clean and renewable energy sources.
🌾 Strengthening food security through climate-smart agriculture that increases productivity while protecting our environment.
💧 Protecting our water resources, forests, wetlands, and biodiversity for future generations.
Climate change is one of the greatest challenges facing humanity today, but by working together, we can build a greener, more resilient, and prosperous South Sudan.
Let us all play our part in protecting our environment and safeguarding our future.
Happy World Environment Day, South Sudan!
“Inspired by Nature. For Climate. For Our Future.”

ASK Foundation and Lee Tae Seok Foundation Support Specialized Medical Training for South Sudanese Students in South Korea
ASK Foundation is proud to collaborate with the Lee Tae Seok Foundation to support the sponsorship of ten South Sudanese medical students to undertake advanced medical training at Wonkwang University Hospital in Seoul, South Korea.
The students will undergo specialized training in modern medical practices, advanced clinical techniques, hospital management systems, and the use of contemporary medical technologies. Transforming Lives
04/06/2026
On 3 June 2026, ASK Foundation continued its follow‑up mission to support the improvement of higher education at the University of Juba.
Acting on the directive of the Senior Presidential Envoy on Special Programs and, H.E. Adut Salva Kiir Mayardit, our team Mr. Deng Arop and Mr. James Madier met with Deputy Vice Chancellor Prof. Isaac Cleto Rial to understand the most urgent challenges facing the University.
The Deputy Vice Chancellor highlighted two critical concerns:
Overcrowded lecture halls: Facilities built for 25,000 students are now serving over 40,000, including 10,000 newly admitted students considering refugee from Sudan, putting immense pressure on learning spaces.
Severely congested hostels: Dormitories meant for 200 students now shelter more than 500, making hygiene, safety, and effective learning extremely difficult.
The ASK Foundation team, together with the University’s Engineering Directorate, visited lecture halls, the girls’ hostel, and the Agricultural Science farm to witness the situation firsthand.
Every student deserves a safe, clean, and dignified environment to learn.
ASK Foundation remains committed to working with national institutions to address these challenges and uplift the future of South Sudan’s young people.

Children carry a light that never fades.
During our April visit to Mabil along Bahr El Ghazal Road, we sang, learned, and laughed with the children and their excitement was unforgettable. Their eagerness to learn, to participate, and to repeat every activity with joy showed us one truth: every child holds incredible potential, even in the face of challenges.
In Mabil, we witnessed a generation ready to rise.
