"The President is currently on a mission to Bahr el Ghazal. As the leadership of the Bahr el Ghazal Youth Union and representatives of the youth of this great region, we believe we should have been part of that mission. Unfortunately, due to exclusion and division, our leadership was neither informed nor invited to participate.

We have witnessed many individuals traveling to Bahr el Ghazal Without invitations, while the official leadership of the Bahr el Ghazal Youth Union was left out. We strongly reject this approach.

We oppose such actions because we have organized ourselves to promote unity, cooperation, and the development of our region. President Kiir is our son, and we believe the youth should have the opportunity to welcome and support him on behalf of the people of Bahr el Ghazal.

If there are individuals who do not want the youth to remain united or to take part in important social and public activities, we reject that attitude as the youth of Bahr el Ghazal. One of the reasons many youth leaders struggle is the lack of support from our own people, who often do not want to see fellow youth take the lead or receive recognition.

Our appeal is for unity, inclusion and equal participation so that the youth can contribute positively to the progress and future of Bahr el Ghazal."

President Salva Kiir Mayardit has reaffirmed his government's commitment to implementing the Revitalized Peace Agreement, stating that South Sudan is on course to hold elections in December this year.

Speaking during a public rally in Kuajok, Warrap State, on Saturday, President Kiir said the successful implementation of the peace agreement remains the government's top priority and emphasized the need for the process to be concluded peacefully.

“As I stated in Wau yesterday, our government's priority is the full implementation of the Peace Agreement, and we are committed to ensuring that this process is concluded peacefully,” Kiir told the gathering.

The President further announced that the country is preparing for elections scheduled for December.

“We are moving toward elections in December, and if you have not heard it before, then hear it directly from me today,” he said.
