On Friday night, 29th December 2023, sources close to the Nile Petroleum Corporation, Director General for Finance, Mr. Santino Matiok Akuei disclosed to Sixty 4 Tribes Press that Mr. Santino has reported his anger to his father in law Mr. Chol Agoth over his silent quarrel with the Managing Director, Mr. Bernard A Makeny, and regrets accepting to working with him in the first place.

Mr. Bernard alleged that he ( Mr. Santino ) has influenced him to donate three (3) pick-up land cruisers and two hard tops (2) to Maj. Gen. Lual Maroldit on Christmas Day. Mr. Santino revealed to his father in law Mr. Chol Agoth, that Bernard is mad at him because his inner circle informed him that Gen. Lual is supporting Mr. Ayuel Akoj Malek and Cirilo Cier Agoth to replace him as the Managing Director of Nilepet. Mr. Benard was overwhelmed by emotions and said that Dr. Chol Deng Thon Abel was right when he referred to Maroldit and the people of Warrap as unethical and greedy people. He said he has done so much to Gen. Lual and the Tiger Division, yet he thinks he is better off with Ayuel and Cier Agoth's appointment. He's such an unreliable general to count on, and he regrets supporting him all the time.

Mr. Bernard sarcastically said Gen. Lual is a shark and doesn't get satisfied with whatever he's given. He is as greedy as his people of Warrap. I clearly said during my appointment that I don't care whether you're connected or disconnected, and he vowed he doesn't need their support, and that he is happy to leave the office anytime. The level of greed & demand from Gen. Lual and Gen. Gregory Deng Versaili is unbecoming and unacceptable during my reign. The Managing Director has also accused Mr. Santino Matiok of stealing 1 million dollars during the Christmas festival and reported it as donations to Gen. Lual Maroldit for renovating roads that interlink Giada to the main entrance. The Managing Director was so furious about the disappearance of such an amount and questioned the intelligence of Mr. Santino, and asked him how he was even admitted to be a PhD. student because he's unethical and can't be trusted to hold the Finance Department. How does he think I shouldn't know? Bernard questioned himself in dismay.

Mr. Bernard is now going to form an investigation committee to investigate Mr. Santino, for the loss of this huge money, and makes sure he returns the money. Mr. Santino said that the Managing Director was reported many times regretting appointing him as the Director General of Finance, not knowing that it was through him and his group, that's why he was appointed otherwise nobody knows him in Yirol and Lakes State at large. Mr. Santino also believes his investigation won't go through because Mr. Bernard isn't innocent of the disappearance of the 25 million dollars they received from Trio Ocean. He promised to expose everything to the media outlets and will see himself as the winner over Mr. Bernard since he has stolen much of Nilepet's money than anybody.

Finance Minister never said "gold was stolen"

A post shared on Facebook claiming that South Sudan Minister of Finance Hon. Agak Achuil Lual said gold was stolen is a naked lie made to meet interests from those who have designed false information. It is False statement that lack justification.

The headline of the post reads, "Hon. Minister of Finance said South Sudan Gold is being stolen".

However, we contacted a senior official in the office of the Finance Minister, the senior officer denied the claim as FALSE.

He told 3 Regions Media that Hon. Agak Achuil never held any press conference that would provides statement of such.

The senior official absolutely denied.
