Spokesperson of South Sudan National Police Service Maj. Gen. Daniel Justin at a press conference outside the Central Bank has clarified the incident that took place outside Bank in the evening hours on Friday.

Unlike earlier reported, Justin says the alleged robbers had stolen from a vehicle around the ministry of petroleum, and were being tracked by the CID.

The CID caught up with them around the Central Bank where shootouts ensued between the robbers and the security officials.

The spokesperson says all the 5 robbers have been killed. One died on the spot while others died while being taken to hospital.

He clarifies that the incident has nothing to do with central Bank.
Some items including money and several number plates were found in the car which was being used by the said robbers.
