Political Parties Council registers IO Party, NDM and three other parties
The Political Parties Council says it has officially registered a political party named the IO Party, formerly known as the SPLM-IO, alongside four other political parties.
The newly registered parties include Lam Akol’s National Democratic Movement (NDM), Peter Mayen Majong’s People’s Liberal Party (PLP), Moro Genesio’s South Sudan National Movement for Change (SSNMC), and the Revive South Sudan Party (RSSP).
It remains unclear which faction of the SPLM-IO has been registered under the new name. The council has not specified whether the IO Party is linked to the faction led by Stephen Kuol Par or the group that remains loyal to suspended First Vice President Riek Machar.
The registration comes amid continued divisions within the SPLM-IO following internal leadership disputes and the ongoing political uncertainty surrounding the party.

These are the Title and the table of contents of my new history book, now in the making and soon to be published. The Book tells about Lual Ngor and Zubayr Pasha, and how the two devastated the northwestern part of Bahr el Ghazal. The story is specifically about Lual Ngor: how he rose to power in Apuk, how he unified Apuk land under a single administration, how he was assassinated, and how his kingdom was brought to an end by a communal assault from Konggor and Apuk-Giir This is the man who created Lietnhom as Apuk-Giir Administrative Centre until today. A story of the late 19th Century.
