If you are caught cutting down trees 🌳 in restricted areas in Burkina Faso 🇧🇫, the government does not send you to jail. They simply take you to a vast empty land and give you hundreds of trees to plant, and it doesn't end there.

The trees you plant become your responsibility to maintain until they grow to a certain level. Also, each week, you must partake in forest conservation campaigns.

Imagine you cut down one tree only to end up planting 500 trees; every morning and evening, you have to water them, w**d the surroundings, and spray them with insecticide. 🤣
