Glory be to God
Such a privilege to hear from Bishop Joseph of the Anglican Church in South Sudan, speaking today at Ebenezer Baptist Church in Saskatoon, partners with Tearfund Canada and Canadian Foodgrains Bank.
His work in leading hunger relief responses, and community development was both humbling and also empowering for us all.

What comes to mind when you hear about South Sudan?
Conflict. Crisis. Headlines that feel far away.
But that’s not the whole story.
Across South Sudan, the local church is bringing hope in the midst of unimaginable challenges, walking alongside families, restoring dignity, and helping communities rebuild.
This is the story Bishop Joseph lives every day.
This spring, you’re invited to hear directly from him about what God is doing, and how lives are being transformed through the local church.

It’s so exciting to begin the year such a blessing from our loving God. Again Church and community Transformation training has kicked off yesterday St Paul’s Cathedral with 25 participants from various denominations in NBeG State. Church and community Transformation has Five Stages and these participants are going through Information Analysis in Church and Community Mobilization Processes Manual ( CCMP) with funding from Tearfund Netherlands through Tearfund South Sudan. The church and community mobilisation process (CCMP) is a process that has now been applied in over 500 churches and communities in 14 countries in Africa since 2001 when it was designed. The results everywhere are astonishing- the church impacting its immediate community in such a way that she influences important decisions that affect the way of life of the community, the Diocese is motivating its immediate community to transform its situation sustainably and enable them to take charge of their destiny and situations without having to 100% dependent on external support. It enables communities see their valuable resources and help them come up on how best they can make use of them. It empowers communities and churches to come up with their workable vision and missions. Thanks to the team of CIRDA-SS for such a huge impact. It’s our prayer and hope that within the next 20 years more results and tangible transformation will be felt in our churches in Jesus name. Amen
We give honor and glory to God.
