Star Sport CEO attacked by East End Lions supporters

Following an assault by supporters of the away team, East End Lions, our CEO, Ing. Yankuba Jusu Tarawally, suffered neck damage. He tried to figure out who attacked him throughout the event.

To clarify, the video posted by the rival supporters shows him chasing the person who assaulted him. Star Sport Academy has never disrupted football, thus it is vital to remember.

The attack happened directly in front of John Kister, the Technical Director of the SLFA, who saw the event personally. John Kister even sought to step in to halt the attackers, taking injuries in the process.

Away from the pitch, outside the technical director’s office when the CEO was on phone call, this regrettable episode happened.

It was reported that Medo took some East End Lions Supporters with sticks to attack the CEO who was on call away from the pitch area.

We reject any type of violence in football and demand that the Sierra Leone Football Association swiftly look into the incident that stopped our quarter-final match under unanticipated circumstances.
