*‼️Is MML actually in a quest to kill Marampa Stars Football Club by refusing to disburse the funds approved by the Community Development Committee (CDC)?*
*✍🏾Climax Media SL News*
Marampa Stars Football Club, a well-known entity in Sierra Leonean football for the past 30 years, has been instrumental in developing talent that has ascended to professional levels, including notable players like *Alhassan and Alusine Koroma, Musa Tombo, and Thaigo.* Despite these accomplishments, the club has yet to secure a place in the Leone Rock Premier League, largely due to significant financial constraints and poor management structures backed with some personal infight that have led to a mass exodus of players and heightened frustrations among football supporters in Marampa Chiefdom. A pressing question arises: who is responsible for this predicament?
One possible culprit is *Marampa Mines Limited (MML),* the primary stakeholder in the operational regions surrounding the club, which has notably failed to provide adequate support. While *Leone Rock Mining Company* has actively sponsored the Premier League for the past three seasons, Marampa Mines on the other hand lacks the financial willingness to back its home team.
It is also important to note that Marampa Mines has allocated 1% of its revenue to the Community Development Committee (CDC). However, the club’s management has been waiting over a year for sponsorship funding from the CDC, despite claims from *Mr Foday Sakida Kabia, the CDC chairman,* that the proposal has been approved. The funds, however, remain undisbursed by Marampa Mines. This raises critical concerns about whether the company is intentionally undermining Marampa Stars Football Club by withholding these essential resources.
Furthermore, there are allegations involving regional a stakeholder who may be obstructing the club’s progress towards elite league status. This individual, reportedly motivated by personal agendas, has purportedly used the club’s success as a stepping stone in the quest of reaching his current status. Such behaviour reflects an unhealthy dynamic where ego and pride overshadow the greater interests of the community and the club.
The role of the CDC in this scenario is also questionable. Are they effectively managing their responsibilities, or is their administration hindering progress? As we await further developments, it is critical to scrutinize the decision-making processes related to the financial resources that belong to the community. The stakes are high, and the future of Marampa Stars Football Club hangs in the balance.
