MY ADVICE
To my brothers and sisters in Sierra Leone
I speak to you today not with anger, but with deep concern and love for our nation. I have seen voices calling for war over the border dispute between Sierra Leone and Guinea. I understand the emotions. I understand the pride. I understand the frustration. But I ask you- have we not already known the true cost of war?
You are a nation that have walked through fire before, we have buried loves ones. We have seen communities destroyed. We have experienced the pain of division and the road of rebuilding. War is not a slogan. War is not a show of strength. War is blood, tears, hunger, broken home, and generations scared.
Patriotism does not rushing toward conflict.
True patriotism means protecting our people, preserving peace, and choosing wisdom over impulse.
Disputes between nations should be handled through diplomacy, dialogue, and lawful negotiations - not through violence that will only harm ordinary citizens on both sides. The people who suffer most in war are not politicians or leaders; it is mothers, children, farmers traders, and young people with dreams.
Sierra Leone and Guinea share History, culture, families, and boarders. We are neighbors. And neighbors must find a ways to resolve disagreement without destroying each other.
Let us not allow emotions to overpower reason . Let us not allow pride to blind us to the consequences. Strength is not in fighting, strength is in restraint. Strength is in unity, strength is in peace.
To my fellow Sierra Leonean: let us stand firm for our country, you- let us stand even firmer for peace. Let us demand solutions not war. Let us protect the future of our children.
We have rebuilt once. We should not wish to rebuild again because of preventable conflict.
May wisdom guide our leaders, may unity guide our people. May peace guide our nation.
God bless Sierra Leone.

Tens of thousands of Iranians mourned the death of Iran’s Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei, who was killed in joint US and Israeli strikes on February 28.
Iranian media reported that the daughter, son-in-law and granddaughter of Khamenei were also killed in the attack.
The government has instituted a 40-day period of national mourning and declared a seven-day official holiday for the 86-year-old leader, who had been in power since 1989.
