62 BUSINESS SECRETS I WISH SOMEONE TOLD ME AT 19

19/02/2026

THE HEART PORTRAIT OF A TRUE LEADER
If you don’t intentionally learn how to rejoice and genuinely celebrate with people who are winning around you (those in your circle) especially your peers…

You may end up living a very miserable and bitter life.

Every dosage of bitterness you express whether at those winning or at yourself, leaves a psychological and emotional scar deep within you - but because you don’t see or feel it immediately, you overlook its long-term impact.

This is why you must guard your heart…

Guard it against envy, bitterness, hatred and ungodly comparison…

It is simply for your wellness and wholeness, not necessarily for those you express hatred towards.

And guess what?

The truth is, that you hate people for succeeding doesn’t mean they will start to fail because you hate them.

There are people who have diligently and patiently paid their dues through the instrumentality of faith, vision and mastery of both divine and workplace principles and God has certified them for new levels…

So, you will unconsciously be doing a serious damage to your soul by staying bitter, because they have entered their winning seasons and they are not stopping anytime soon.

True winners know that the only way to keep winning is not to hate on those who are winning, but to be happy for them while also taking lessons that may be useful.

Heart-Check Test:

📌How do you react when you see that your peers are winning?

📌What is the first thing that comes to mind when you see a junior colleague or mentee win?

📌Are you always happy to see your siblings win or you uphold a strong sense of competition and envy?
Some persons only feel comfortable when those above them (mentors) win, they get bitter when they see their peers and mentees win.

As you pursue your dreams, understand that your dream cannot threaten God and the sky is big enough to let you soar.

True leaders do not only lead to win, they go extra miles to lead others to win.

There comes a time, a year and a season, that the way you win is by helping others to win and in cases where people are winning without your input, you are secured enough to genuinely celebrate them without making it feel like they do not deserve to win.
