The Moeba students' union held a crucial meeting yesterday the 23 November, 2025 to address the rising concern of Kush and other dangerous drug substances affecting young people in the Moeba community. This gathering brought together executive members and active stakeholders who passionately discussed long-term strategies for tackling the drug crisis.

Key points raised included the need to increase community awareness, especially among youth and parents, on the effects of drug abuse. Members proposed the establishment of a confidential reporting system where residents can safely provide information about drug dealers and users without fear. The union also discussed partnering with local law enforcement, religious leaders, schools, and health workers to form a united front.

Importantly, MSU agreed to begin door to door outreach, schools based education campaigns, and radio discussions to reach a wider audience. The union reaffirmed its commitment to leading this fight with courage, unity, and responsibility.

The Union is facing a lot of issues when it comes to members contribution. We are calling on members to come on board in contributing to the development of our dealing MSU.

MSU remains strong and determined to protect the future of our young people and bring back peace, hope, and dignity to the Moeba community.
