Connecting People, Nature, and Sustainable Solutions

On Friday, 2nd May 2025, we had the honor of hosting a distinguished professor and a group of brilliant students from Yale University at our nursery site. Their visit was part of a learning experience centered around the Initiative a movement we are proud to contribute to as key implementing partners.

During the visit, we had the opportunity to share our journey how we started with a simple vision to restore ecosystems, what inspired us to take bold steps in climate action, and the strategies we use to maintain a thriving nursery that supplies thousands of seedlings. We also discussed our approach to staff recruitment, emphasizing our commitment to empowering local youth and building green skills for the future.

This visit reminded us why we do what we do: to protect our environment, create jobs, and inspire hope. It was both humbling and energizing to see our work through the eyes of passionate learners from one of the world’s leading universities.

Thank you to the Freetown City Council and the Yale team for this enriching exchange. At EMaSFSA, we believe that when passion meets purpose, impact is inevitable.
