27 October 1981 at 19:57 the Soviet uboat U 137 (S-363) runs aground deep into Swedish territorial waters at Gåsefjärden, Karlskrona.
Soviet Navy ships sailed towards Sweden to rescue the uboat, but Swedish Armed Forces were determined to stop them from entering.
Sweden was suddenly at the brink of war.
The submarine was later freed and on November 6 it was escorted out to international waters were the Soviet navy was waiting.
