Even the busiest Swedish mountains are, outside of the trails, quiet in the summertime. Some days it rains, some days the sun shines, but when the terrain is spectacular the days, weeks and months spent walking in the mountain slopes are rewarding as the map grows.

It was a pleasure to make a map for O-Ringen in Åre, Sweden in the past 2 years. Due to the postponing of the event from 2021 to 2023 this map won’t be used for stages 4 and 5 as planned. Hopefully you all get a chance to use the brand new 16 km² orienteering map in Åre Björnen soon at another event!

In 2021 the world’s biggest orienteering week O-Ringen will be held in Åre. That’s the reason we’re spending the rest of this summer (and next) in the Swedish mountains - MapMore is responsible for the maps for stages 4 & 5.
