Digital wood is a research based project at Chalmers University of Technology. Together with Emil Poulsen and Victoria Henriksson, Oscar Gillkvist implemented their master thesis work with focus on automated fabrication and digital tools. The temporary structure seeks to investigate the inherent properties of plywood and how this can be utilized through digital fabrication.

Crack implements a new approach to the masonry tradition. By using concrete a rational and controlled interlocking system has been possible without losing the random structure in traditional masonry.
