Yesterday, we joined the nation at the Kigali Genocide Memorial to commemorate the Genocide perpetrated against the Tutsi.

We pause to remember the lives lost, to honor the resilience of survivors, and to commit ourselves to unity, dignity, and peace.In this season of remembrance, we lean on faith—believing in healing, compassion, and love that overcomes darkness.

Today, as the world marks International Women’s Day, Compassion International celebrates the strength, resilience, and God-given dignity of women and girls everywhere.

Across Rwanda and around the world, women—especially caregivers—play a powerful role in nurturing hope, shaping families, and building stronger communities. Today we honor their courage, celebrate their achievements, and reaffirm our commitment to walk alongside them as they help release children from poverty in Jesus’ name.
