POETRY OF THE WEEK
No one sung about that meeting,
Sadness faded with never a song.
A cool summer it was,
Like a new life begun.
The sky seems a vault of stone,
Wounded by yellow fire,
And more than my daily bread
I need some word of him.
Dew-wet grass
Refresh my soul with news –
Not for passion, or for pleasure,
But for deep love of this earth.

WEEKEND EXHIBITION. WHERE TO GO THIS WEEKEND?
The exhibition “Paris 1874, inventing Impressionism” brought together 130 works by French artists: Monet, Renoir, Degas, Pissarro, Sisley, Cézanne and Morisot.
The opening of this grand jubilee exhibition was timed to coincide with the 150th anniversary of the first Impressionist exhibition, which took place in the spring of 1874 on the Boulevard des Capucines (in Nadar's photo studio). The Musée d'Orsay accomplished the impossible by bringing together almost all the works shown at the time, including Claude Monet's famous painting “Impression. Sunrise", from the French title of which the word ‘Impressionism’ was derived.
According to the curators' plan, the works from the first Impressionist exhibition in 1874 are presented surrounded by paintings and sculptures exhibited at the same time at the official Salon (Academy of Arts). The viewer can almost relive the debates in which the artists of the time encountered each other, their opposition (the heat of the struggle between the old and the new), to identify their differences, but also their common features.
The exhibition “Paris 1874, Inventing Impressionism” is organized by the Musée d'Orsay and the Musée de l'Orangerie in collaboration with the National Gallery of Art in Washington, D.C., where it will travel in mid-summer (it will run from September 8, 2024 to January 20, 2025).
And until July 14, it can be seen in Paris, Musée d'Orsay.

POETRY OF THE WEEK
Through risk, torment, many hard things
A cocoon made its way to the light
With the silk unbelievable wings
It kept our eyes to delight.
In the nectar it`s frozen fast.
Like a circus girl on a tightrope,
Tries to maintain the perfect balance
With the wings of a fine velvet robe.
A butterfly`s life is a day,
Incomparably to the human age.
But we can`t for a moment stay
On a forget-me-not flower`s edge.
So, fluttering gaily alone
Kissing eagerly delicate petals
It transmits the life-giving pollen
To the every flower`s pestles.
When the caterpillar slowly
Turns into the bright cocoon,
Underneath thread fibers soul
Will break out very soon.
Looking back at its life in the past
It flies freely into the skies.
People don`t die – you should trust,
There`s a butterfly inside of us.

Images of the Venice Biennale: the most interesting exhibitions and artifacts
💎"The Prince of Jewelers"
The jewelry brand Buccellati rediscovers the value of ‘classics’, implied as a taste that can transcend temporal boundaries, conquering eternity through beauty and craftsmanship.
🪽"Takapau"
New Zealand collective Mataaho, made up of Māori women participants Erena Baker, Sarah Hudson, Bridget Reveti and Terry Te Tau, has created a unique work of art. The installation, inspired by traditional Māori textiles, maternity mats that are bound together and a large-scale canvas spread over a tent at the entrance to the Arsenal. Uneven threads of fabric like a spider's web cover the ceiling of the pavilion, allowing sunlight to flow in, creating a light and shade play.
👽 "Stormtrooper: Rose Quartz Crystal Bust"
Prominent American contemporary artist Daniel Arsham, will present a collection of new mosaics, large-scale bronze pieces and monumental paintings, as well as relic statues created during his work on Star Wars.
The Venice Biennale of Contemporary Art is an opportunity to reflect on the main trends in today's art, global and national, to see fresh works by recognized artists and usually inaccessible interiors of Venetian palaces.
