🐀 Torta de Noz, ou Tortinha para os amigos 🐀
A Tortinha foi nos entregue após passar a sua vida a produzir ninhada após ninhada de bebés que lhe foram tirados para alimento de cobra. Quando nos chegou, estava com obesidade, diabetes, e uma otite interna de tal calibre que chegamos a pensar se ela teria tido um AVC ou um tumor pituitário e ponderamos se não seria mais gentil a eutanásia.
Mas felizmente, esta menina tem vontade de viver. Ficou com sequelas da otite, e o sistema vestibular dela está danificado permanentemente. Mas ela aproveita a vida ao máximo e tem muita independência. Apenas precisará de algumas adaptações na gaiola para que seja seguro para ela utilizar, coisa que teremos todo o gosto em ajudar!
A Tortinha, apesar de apenas ter conhecido o toque humano para lhe retirarem os bebés para dar às cobras, escolheu perdoar-nos e dar-nos uma segunda oportunidade. E agora, quem é que vai dar uma segunda oportunidade para ter uma família? ❤️

I am excited to introduce our two new boys, Freddy (cinnamon) and Johnny (agouti silvermane) who have come to us from the amazing breeder Goedric’s Hollow. These little travellers have had quite a journey, starting in the UK, then moving through France and Spain, and finally arriving in Portugal! Our goal is to bring in high-quality lines that will help improve both health and type in future generations.
Their names are inspired by the Treaty of Tagilde (year 1372), an agreement between King Fernando I of Portugal and Duke of Lancaster John of Gaunt that laid the foundations for the historic Anglo‑Portuguese alliance.
A huge thank you to Jemma Fettes for refering us to the incredible Goedric’s Hollow and for all the help she has given us by sharing her knowledge!
Charlotte, I am very grateful for the lovely boys. They are perfect and we love them so much already!
And thank you Adele for making sure everything was in order so we could import these cute little guys to Europe.
