I’ve been married to Felix for three years and in those three years, I’ve given him three beautiful daughters.

One night, I tried to initiate segz with my husband and, as usual, he said he was tired.

I was upset because “I’m tired” had become his favorite sentence whenever I wanted us to make love.

This was the same man who couldn’t keep his hands off me when we were dating and during the early years of our marriage. Suddenly, he was always tired.

That night, I finally asked him.
“Do you even love me anymore?”

My husband sat up, looked me straight in the eye and said something that broke me.

“You’ve become too big. You’ve lost your shape and I don’t feel attracted to you or even get aroused anymore.”

I tried to explain that raising three children wasn’t easy. Between cooking, cleaning, washing and taking care of the girls, I barely had time for myself. I told him that if I had help around the house, I could focus on losing weight and taking better care of myself.

The next morning, I started making calls. I reached out to friends, family members and colleagues, asking if they knew anyone who could work as a live-in help.

A month later, Moyin arrived.
She was a beautiful Yoruba girl from Ilorin, barely 18 years old.

Moyin was hardworking, respectful and cheerful. Before long, she became part of the family. My daughters adored her and I treated her like a younger sister.

With her help, I finally had time to breathe.

I joined a gym, started taking care of myself again and eventually got a job as a secretary at a law firm.

The job was demanding. I left home early and returned late most evenings.

But I was happy. I was losing weight, rebuilding my confidence and becoming the woman I used to be.

I thought things were finally getting better.
I was wrong.

Eight months later, Moyin got pregnant for my husband.

The day I found out felt like a nightmare.
I lost control and attacked her.
I was slapping and hitting her when Felix pushed me to the ground.

Then he shouted at me.
“Do you want to kill my son?”

I froze… “Your what?”

“My son,” he said. “The scan confirmed it’s a boy.”

“A boy!” I gasped

Then he calmly informed me that his family already knew about the pregnancy. In fact, they had fixed a date for their marriage.
The only reason he hadn’t told me was because he’d been too busy.

I started laughing. Not because it was funny but because it was the only thing stopping me from screaming.

“You fixed a wedding date and forgot to tell your wife because you were busy?”

He shrugged.

Then he said the words that finally shattered whatever was left of my marriage.

“If you don’t like it, take your daughters and leave.”

Today, Moyin no longer does any housework. Felix hired another maid for that.

Moyin now sleeps in the master bedroom with my husband while I occupy another room with my daughters.

But according to my mother and my pastor, this isn’t ordinary. They say the girl used something on him and I believe so!

Moyin used juju on my poor innocent husband. She put love portion in his food and so if prayers don’t work, my mother has already suggested another faster solution.

According to her, if Moyin used power, then power must answer power.

And in her words; “The lesser power must bow.”

⚠️ Warning: Don’t read this alone at night.

I was at home chilling in my couch, watching Netflix, enjoying my cold bottle of beer, and yesterday leftover pizza from the fridge.

Then Julius called; “Guy, dress up. We dey go club.”

I told him no immediately. I wasn’t in the mood for that. But Julius has always been stubborn. Once he wants something, he won’t rest.

An hour later, he was banging on my gate like police.

“Guy abeg na. One drink and we’re back.”

Reluctantly, I followed him.

Funny thing is… the night actually became sweet.

The club was packed. Music shaking the walls. Lights flashing everywhere. Girls dancing. Drinks flowing. At some point Julius looked at me and burst out laughing.

“See this hypocrite. Na you dey enjoy pass everybody.”

And honestly? He was right.

I had danced with so many girls that night I lost count. One light-skinned girl with portable brezz and big yansh practically stayed around me the whole time. I finally decided to collect her number.

That was when I checked my pocket.
Empty! I started sweating inside the very cold club

My brand new iPhone 16.

I checked my other pocket. Nothing.
Table? Nothing. Bar counter? Nothing.
Bathroom? Nothing

The big yansh girl noticed my panic and asked softly, “What happened?”

“My phone is gone!” I screamed. I was about searching her and all the girls I danced with when Julius immediately said,
“Call the line.”

The girl quickly replied,
“With this noise? You won’t hear it ring.”

I looked at her dangerously and she kept quiet.

In that moment, she wasn't even as beautiful as I thought she was. Infact, she looked like a thief. I started checking her body to see where she could hide a phone especially her brezz because she was almost naked.

Aunty smiled seductively, thinking I was checking her out. I swear, I almost spat at her!

"It's ringing!" Julius said excitedly. I quickly rushed to his side and he put it on speaker

Then someone answered.

The person coughed twice. Then laughed. Not a normal laugh. A low… giggle… annoying kind of laugh.

“Hello? Who be this?” Julius barked.

The person didn’t reply. Just kept giggling softly into the phone.

I collected the phone from him.
“Guy listen, return my phone now and I swear I won’t do anything.”

Silence. Then laughter again.
At that point, anger entered my body.

We started insulting the person. Threatening them. Cursing them. The person didn't hang up, just stayed on the call giggling and laughing like a mad person.

We scanned the club for possible suspects, but the background was quiet that means the thief had left already the club

We took the phone to the bathroom, and called again.

The thief answered again, coughed twice and giggled.

We begged, insulted, threatened, swore… the person didn’t say a word. Just giggled!

I used one of the bouncer's phone, he was a friend too… Same thing.

I even used the girl's phone and the mad person continued toying with me

I started shouting; "You will kpai tonight, I'll find you and make your life mizerable, you bascard. That phone will kpai you, I will find you and end you, an!mal." The person just kept giggling and laughing harder.

It didn’t sound human anymore so I gave up and stopped calling

As I turned I saw Julius collecting the girl's number and she was giggling like nothing happened while he smiled like an idiot.

I suddenly hated both of them, and regretted following him out. This was his fault maybe he planned all of this to steal my new iPhone. Maybe the girl was working with him.

I went over and asked him to give me his Nokia torchlight phone because he had two phones.

The girl held his neck romantically and he kissed her. “You dey kiss olosho?”
I asked and she hissed at me.

I got home by 3am from the club. Everywhere was dark. Too dark. I switched on the parlour light, drank water straight from the bottle, and sat on my bed trying to calm down.

I decided to call my line again with Julius small torchlight phone, and insult the life out of the thief again one last time

I jumped out of the bed as the phone rang and almost screamed as I held my breath and shook with fear and panic.

The ringtone was coming from Inside my house.

I listened with making a sound… it was coming from my bathroom.

My bathroom door was slightly open.

And the light inside was off.

I stood up from the bed with shaking legs and started walking toward the bathroom.

The closer I got, the louder the ringtone became but this time nobody answered.

Then suddenly…

The ringing stopped.

With my chest beating very fast and hard, and my hands shaking, I opened the door and what I saw shocked me!

I saw Aki n Pawpaw playing Call of Duty (COD) with my iPhone and giggling. Then they turned and looked at me and said Happy Children’s Day, Ajebo Writer!

Una go read rubbish today.
