We are glad to announce registration for RECAP 2023!

✨The objective of the Refugee Camp Project is to provide motivated medical students with a four-week summer experience of living in Palestine while learning about the Israeli- Palestinian conflict and the challenges of delivering healthcare under occupation.
This project is LIKE NO OTHER, and here is a previous review:
-“Through our friendships with Palestinian contemporaries, one reflection hit hard ... we’re all young, all keen, all learning the same stuff. The difference is that some of us could cross the Separation wall. Some of us could pass through checkpoints without being harassed. Could walk around Al- Aqsa mosque, the second holiest site for all of Islam, without having been granted a permit. Could go to watch the sun setting over the Mediterranean Sea. And then we could fly home; our lives, ca- reers, and freedoms not fragmented or confined by physical, legal or psychological oppression im- posed by a discriminatory occupying power.

🟢Application Timeline:
- The applications are open on April 19th and will be open until May 5th.
- Interviews will be held in May for those applications that are shortlisted so that the application is fair as possible.
- Final decisions held at the end of May.
🟢The project will take place as usual in the month of August 2023 duration of 4 weeks.

Costs: No participation fee. RECAP receives funding from IPPNW, and covers all accommodation and travel expenses through the Palestinian lands during the program hours.

🔴Eligibility: Medical Students entering their third year and above.

Hi everyone - as promised here are some updates:

We are working very hard at ReCaP to facilitate the programme for this summer and we appreciate your support. However, given the changing climate surrounding the pandemic we have been struggling to reach a conclusive decision.

On the one hand, we know that ReCaP is a life changing opportunity for those of you interested in Public Health and the West Bank, but we also recognise the importance of keeping our participants safe and healthy.

As a result, we ask that you to continue being patient with us as we do our best in reaching the decision the best suits the ReCaP family.
