Soooo I’ve been thinking a lot about how people see me, and their perception of who I am vs who I really am… after a couple of moments that sparked reflection and introspection:

• one was being told I come across “rigid” on social media in comparison to what my personality is actually like IRL… two people I was meeting or the first time agreed on this and said they were surprised (in a good way) by me in person lollllll

• reading my intro blurb at an event.. “Mari Pepin, The Bachelor & Bachelor in Paradise”

I was honestly really confused to hear the first one. It didn’t make sense to me.. I thought “wdym how I appear in my content doesn’t match up w what you’re seeing in person… they’re both.. me???” And I was even more shocked when I realized there are probably like… a lot of people… who think the same exact thing bc they only get to experience and interact w me online 🥴 *cue mild identity alignment crisis*

And the second one, while totally accurate, felt kind of like a reduction of my life to one specific era. And yes, that is where most people would know me from, so I get it. But understanding why that was the blurb didn’t remove the sense of “but I’ve done and accomplished and simply am so much more than that”…

So anyway, all this to say that as I get ready to hit thirty, and with those two moments in mind… I’m entering this new chapter in rediscovery, reinvention and making sure it aligns in every way that people meet me ☺️ I’m calling it becoming HER (but I already am HER, I just need to make sure she’s the same woman you’re seeing online and irl lol 😉) so come along! 💗
