Not every nail needs a brand-new hammer. 🔨
At the ToolBank, borrowing hammers is a simple, powerful way nonprofits in Houston can build responsibly. Hammers are essential for volunteer build days, community repairs, event setups, and disaster recovery efforts. But when every organization buys its own set, many end up sitting idle most of the year.

Choosing to borrow means:
♻ Less overproduction – Fewer tools manufactured, packaged, and transported.
🔁 Higher utilization – One hammer can serve dozens of projects across the city.
🛠 Extended lifespan – Maintained tools stay in circulation longer, reducing waste.

Our inventory includes three different types of hammers, which combined saved our partners $427,550 in retail expenses in 2025. Sustainability isn’t complicated. Sometimes it’s as straightforward as sharing a hammer instead of owning one!

Need a little help with your fundraiser? At ToolBank USA we can lend your non-profit chairs and tables for your fundraising event, just like this sip and paint event by Movimiento Para El Alcance de Vida Independiente-MAVI (MAVI) with Bomba dance lessons while you fill in the canvas to the rhythm of the beat.

MAVI's mission is to offer independent living services to diverse groups of people with disabilities, promoting their inclusion and community life to achieve their independence, self-determination, productivity, empowerment, and equity in Puerto Rico and the American Virgin Islands. This impassioned group of professionals led a very creative and fun event in raising funds and serving their community. Glad we can help!
