ACTUAL RESULT band
Today Mick and I had a full-on drum & bass day.
Taras was at a company party last night — first he said he’d be late, then he just didn’t show up. But once he finally woke up, he went out to play soccer in freezing weather. Absolute recovery magic 😄
On the upside, Mick and I had plenty of time to work through about half of a new track.
At the last rehearsal Taras brought in a riff — a small, melodic arpeggio — and we jammed a bunch around it. Later at home, I stitched together the best bits and programmed the bass in MIDI, so now Mick keeps checking the computer to see what he’s supposed to play.
I really love this “ping-pong” workflow: record stuff at rehearsal → tweak and add ideas at home → break it down together at the next rehearsal. It just feels way more alive, more fun, and actually collaborative, compared to learning a track one person wrote alone at home.
For a first day, I’d say the result is pretty solid.
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!
Eyes might be scared, but hands get the work done XD

Look guys, Mick has a new bass! It’s custom made by a Polish luthier and it looks (and sounds) awesome. So awesome, that I intentionally made it as loud as possible in the mix :)
Check out our profile for our released tracks,
Cheers!

Welcome to a behind-the-scenes look at ACTUAL RESULT 🎬
This is our weekly studio routine — the place where ideas turn into sound, and sound turns into something real. Every session is a mix of experimentation, energy, and focus as we shape our vision step by step🎛️🎚️
In this video, you’ll catch a glimpse of how we build our projects, refine details, argue about the perfect vibe, and push each other to be better. It’s all part of the process that defines who we are as a band 🤘🏻
Playing in the background is a preview of our upcoming release “By Design” — a track crafted with intention, emotion, and our signature style.
Stay tuned, more is coming… 🚀
For some reason our tracks always end up with names longer than Kazakh wedding guest list.
This one is called “When the dove passes by” — but we just call it Dove, because we’re not robots.
Unfortunately, every time I say “Dove,” my brain immediately plays those 90s soap commercials.
Absolutely useless information, but hey - the fact that mass media still lives rent-free in our heads might become a theme for the next song.
Anyway, the track is out on all streaming platforms, and all of our friends and relatives have already heard it (one of them twice).
Cheers,
PXL
BY DESIGN // Bass day
The bass might not always shine upfront, but it holds everything together.
Nick’s got his pedalboard ready to bring the groove alive.
You ever notice when the bass is just right?
BY DESIGN bass recording day.
Well yeah, Mick is right - bass usually doesn’t stand out like guitar, vocals or drums. But getting a fat bass is essential for a good mix. Mick also has a fancy pedalboard that he will use to play live.
Do you ever notice when the bass player is good?
Watch Taras turn from an ugly caterpillar to a beautiful butterfly! It’s a celebration of everything that CapCut has to offer. XD
Our new track BY DESIGN will be sent to mixing soon
🎧 Drum magic in action! Here’s a glimpse of how we recorded drums for our upcoming track “By Design” 🥁
Pixel Rock shares a bit about the year-long journey behind it and how the name came to life.

🔥 Let’s raise the volume for our brother from France and the voice of Actual Result! 🔥
Today we celebrate the birthday of our vocalist Romain Cadoz — one of the two founders who started this journey and shaped the sound that defines us.
From the very first riff to every scream that shakes the stage — he’s been the heart, the energy, and the fire inside of Actual Result.
Drop your wishes in the comments and show him some love! 💥
Happy Birthday, legend — the stage wouldn’t be the same without your roar! 🤘
