We express our deepest gratitude to the editorial team of Archéo-Nil for its trust and support, and to Peeters Publishers for their professionalism. We also thank the ULB - Université libre de Bruxelles, the CReA-Patrimoine and the FNRS for housing and supporting this event. Of course, a special thank is due to all the colleagues who participated in this workshop and made this dossier possible!
