*An Advocacy Session was held today with all elected members, principals, teachers, and local influencers of Taluka New Sukkur. The Chief Guest was DC Sukkur, Mr. Raja MB Dharejo, accompanied by Assistant Commissioner New Sukkur, Mr. Waseem Mahar. During the event, Mr. Waseem Mahar welcomed all the guests, and DC Sukkur, Mr. Raja MB Dharejo, shared information about polio with the attendees. He emphasized the importance of vaccinating all children up to the age of five during every polio campaign to protect them from this disease. Furthermore, appreciation certificates were presented to the local influencers and elected members, expressing joy over their collective and united efforts towards a polio-free Pakistan*

پاکستان میں رواں سال پولیو سے متاثرہ کیسز کی تعداد 56 تک پہنچ چکی ہے، جو کہ انتہائی تشویشناک اور فوری مؤثر اقدامات کی متقاضی ہے۔ پاکستان اسلامک میڈیکل ایسوسی ایشن (پِیما) کے مرکزی صدر پروفیسر عاطف حفیظ صدیقی نے والدین سے پرزور اپیل کی ہے کہ وہ اپنے بچوں کو اس معذور کر دینے والی بیماری سے بچانے کے لیے بروقت پولیو ویکسینیشن کو یقینی بنائیں۔
انہوں نے کہا کہ پولیو سے بچاؤ کے لیے ویکسینیشن ہی واحد مؤثر ذریعہ ہے۔ یہ ویکسین ہر لحاظ سے محفوظ، مؤثر اور ہمارے بچوں کی صحت کے لیے ناگزیر ہے۔ ہمیں پولیو ویکسین کے بارے میں جھوٹی افواہوں پر یقین نہیں کرنا چاہیے۔
