The Ramadan moon has been sighted across Pakistan, including Lahore and Peshawar. Consequently, the first day of fasting will commence tomorrow.

The Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee will make formal announcement shortly.

Earlier, the Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee, led by Chairman Maulana Abdul Khabir Azad, convened in Peshawar to determine the sighting of the crescent moon for Ramadan.

Gathered at the Awqaf Hall on Charsadda Road, committee members, along with representatives from the Meteorological Department, SPARCO, and the Ministry of Science and Technology, engaged in discussions to determine the sighting of the Ramadan moon.

It is pertinent here to mention that while the Ramadan moon has been sighted in Gulf states, including Saudi Arabia, marking the commencement of fasting, East Asian and Oceania states await the first sighting, with fasting scheduled to begin on March 12.

Despite the ECC directing the concerned authorities to stop the smuggling and hoarding of sugar, the public could not get any relief and the price of sugar increased further.

According to the details, the ban on the export of sugar in Karachi, like the rest of the country, was blown up by the sugar mafia. In the wholesale market, sugar rose by Rs 7 per kg in a day and touched the highest level of Rs 171.

According to dealers, sugar has become expensive in the wholesale commodity market by the Hour, the retail price of sugar for the public has reached a record level of 180 rupees.

It should be remembered that the price of sugar per kg has increased by about 20 rupees since August 1 due to stock speculation.

In view of the implementation of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) agreement, petrol is likely to be expensive by Rs 10 and diesel by Rs 15 per liter.

The IMF's first economic review is preceded by a tough test for the caretaker government. The caretaker finance minister is in favor of full implementation of the IMF program due to which there is a fear of further increase in electricity and petrol prices instead of relief.

On the other hand, the Ministry of Finance has also assured the IMF to collect 250 billion by stopping electricity theft, while the plan to collect electricity bills from consumers in installments has also been shared with the IMF.

It should be noted that a total increase of 87 rupees has been recorded in the value of the dollar against the Pakistani currency during one year. Due to depreciation of rupee during PDM government period, loans have increased by 9300 billion.

Sharing your screen during a video call is no longer headache-inducing, at least not if you're using FaceTime and, soon, WhatsApp.

"We're adding the ability to share your screen during a video call on WhatsApp," Mark Zuckerberg, Meta founder and CEO, announced the new feature in a Facebook post with a photo.

The feature was first explored in late May when it became available to Android beta testers. Though it's unclear when the feature will be widely available for all WhatsApp users, the new post by Zuckerberg hints it could be sooner than later.

As noted during beta testing, the screen-sharing feature would be available during a call by tapping a button on the call control view. The user trying to share their screen will then be prompted to allow permission to WhatsApp to record, display, and share the contents of their screen with the recipient.

WhatsApp video calls, in turn, are available to any device with access to the app and an internet connection across Android and iOS. Adding the screen-sharing feature to WhatsApp would reach the app's more than 2.4 billion monthly users and could become essential for the workplace in countries where it's the most used messaging application, like India.
