The district administration has completed all arrangements to facilitate tourists visiting Murree during the winter season and in the event of snowfall.

“Though there is no forecast of snowfall, the district administration has completed preparations for the winter season and established seven tourist facilitation centres in coordination with the Provincial Disaster Management Authority and the divisional commissioner,” said Murree Deputy Commissioner Agha Zaheer Shirazi while talking to Dawn.

FO takes note of PCA clarifications on Indus Waters Treaty decision. The Foreign Office (FO) issued a statement on Wednesday in response to clarifications issued by the Court of Arbitration on the Indus Waters Treaty (IWT), saying that Pakistan had taken note of the decision and calling the clarifications “helpful”.

The Hague’s Permanent Court of Arbitration (PCA) had issued its Award on Issues of General Interpretation of the IWT on August 8. On September 19, Pakistan initiated an arbitration against India under the provisions of the IWT, which India suspended unilaterally following a four-day conflict between the two countries in May.

At least 12 people were killed and 36 were injured on Tuesday in a su***de blast outside the district and sessions court building in Islamabad’s G-11 area, according to officials.
The death toll was initially confirmed to Dawn by a senior Islamabad police official. Later, Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi briefed the media outside the court, saying that a “su***de blast” had occurred at 12:39pm.

Shortly after getting approval from the federal cabinet, the bill for the 27th Constitutional Amendment was tabled before the Senate on Saturday and subsequently referred to the standing committees on law and justice.

Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar on Monday reaffirmed Pakistan’s commitment to deepen cooperation with Türkiye across political, economic, and defence spheres in a meeting with his Turkish counterpart, while agreeing to continue working together on the issue of Palestine, the Foreign Office (FO) said.
