* Chest X-ray is often abnormal.
* Sputum smear, culture, or PCR (GeneXpert) may detect the bacteria.
* Requires treatment with multiple anti-TB drugs (commonly isoniazid, rifampicin, pyrazinamide, and ethambutol initially)
